I’m Anjali, currently preparing for CA Final May 2026. My articleship, under the old scheme, began in April 2023, meaning it will only conclude in April 2026, just weeks before my exams. My biggest challenge is navigating preparation for the new scheme Final papers, particularly Paper 6: Integrated Business Solutions, during this crucial last year of articleship. While ICAI has released some study material, the sheer volume, coupled with the new application-based, open-book approach, feels incredibly daunting given my demanding office hours.
My specific question is: For those who’ve tackled similar situations or have insight into the new scheme, what’s the most strategic way to prepare for Paper 6 while still deeply involved in articleship? Should I primarily focus on strengthening my conceptual clarity in foundational subjects like FR and Audit, anticipating their relevance for the open-book case studies, or try to get a head start on the new case study methodology and problem-solving, even if comprehensive ICAI resources like MTPs/RTPs aren’t fully available yet? I’m trying to optimize my efforts before the intensive study leave.
